one of my fav's when i just wanna chill..bruce was "fresh and new" making his transfer from tv to big hollywood. I his character i love the "80's" movie style and of seeing alan rickman as other then the "great Snape" was superb.
A good action film, good acting and good story as well. This classic action movie is well worth watching. I would rate this movie a 8 out of 10 to view.
The machine gun fire in this movie sounded like they were toys guns and I was kinda bored for watching an acton movie. Just because this movie is kinda old, doesn't mean it is autimatically bad because the old Rambo movies were around this time and they were awesome. This reminds me a lot of "Rambo" because they both are old classic action movies and they both got a great recent addition to the series that are better than the original. Bruce Willis is a great actor in any movie and I am still going to watch the rest of of these movies, but if you are going to watch just one in the series, I reccomend you make it the newest one - "Live Free Or Die Hard" because it is much better.
Bullocks, Diehard 4 is not a Diehard movie. It's a kids movie with the D.H. brand name. Just because you blow stuff up doesn't mean you can top this classic.
No offense but you must be young. Because the original was never a Rambo clone if anything it was quite the opposite. Mclane battled the baddies systematically and carefully. He didn't just blow his way into every situation. Forget it kid. Go watch Transformers 2 and leave movies like Diehard for the adults.
Die Hard redefined the action genre for decades. Live free or die hard did not redefine cinema or change the landscape of the genre in any way. that is how you know Cartman rules doesn't know what he's talking about.
McClane is the man! Bruce Willis was definitely the best and only choice to fill this character, he does a tremendous job! This is the best in the series by far! Watch it now!
Doesn't have the body count of say Hard boiled or Rambo. No, instead this forever classic has well timed wit and a battle of wills between a suave mastermind and a ruthless cop so tense that at the end you can't help but sit back and smile at the fact you have watched the greatest thriller of them all.
Featuring master direction and cinematography. Spawning scores of inferior wannabe's and redefining the action hero and villain making Bruce Willis and Alan Rickman into household names for decades. No classic has had a bigger impact on a stars career or the genre than this machine. Can't top this classic no way no how!!!
This has got to be the father of all modern day American action films. This puppy raised the bar big time for actions flicks in the states and literally cemented Bruce Willis' career as the real deal, cinematic, wise crackin', take no shiznit tough guy of a generation. A MUST WATCH IF YOU HAVEN'T EVER SEEN IT BEFORE! PERIOD!
if you want action this is the film to watch,all the way through its bang ,bang on the edge of your seat.a good thing if your starting out in film is to try and keep it in one place for most of the film,this means you keep the money low,but this film as loads of action this is not the best film to have as your first,don't get me wrong if you can do it,just go head and do it
Bruce Willis is my all time favorite hero!! nomatter how old that man gets you always trusts that he's gonna save the lot :p

Classic action movie.
Such a brilliant script .. so many funny and awesome lines all in one movie. Strong cast; Alan Rickman and Bruce Willis were both excellent.
And tons of action (obviously..)
Well worth watching / re-watching. 5/5 stars.

This movie was so thriller and action packed; very high octane.
One of Bruce Willis's best movie and I enjoyed Alan Rickman's acting as well.
