As far as chick flicks go. I enjoyed this one. Kind of Notebook -esque. As everyone has said, it started out really slow. I don't mind however, if the movie takes off from there.

I really dont like the story..but if you like to watch any romantic movie or sad movie..watch "Kites".."Arya 2".."Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam "Jab We Met".."Kal ho na Ho"and etc movies..those are Hindi And Telugu movies..Watch Them it the subtitle..guys you will love it..those movies are romantic and sad love stories..must watch it..try to watch it..plzz guys and girlss..

I have to say its a good movie but reality hurts.i think she didnt give him a chance and didnt deserve the ending.i really enjoyed this movie actually brought tears in my eyes because the war is in real life and that love story is a fantasy.

Wow..this was a great movie I absoluety loved it.It was very emotional and IMO was very well written,I am glad I watched it.I enjoyed every minute of it.Sad but very good recommend the watch 5/5

This was no where close to being as good as the notebook. 3/5 for me didnt feel much emotion with the movie or the characters. should have shown them together more maybe? Worth a watch if you love romance, but dont expect a love story like the notebook or the time travelers wife with Dear john. Channing is fun to look at though!

Try not to compare it to the notebook simply because it was written by the same author. Think of it, if he wrote the same book twice he would be considered the Stephen King of romance writters and everyone would realize he was a one trick pony. Instead try to apprechiate it as the pile of regurgitated love droppings it is and leave it at that.

The Notebook tore my heart out! As did "Leaving Las Vegas", "Dead Man Walking" , "Up Close and Personal" & "The Green Mile" Was this as intense?

wasnt comparing bc of the same author, was comparing it as far as great love stories..let me rephrase so as not to compare it to the notebook..ahem.. Ok dear john had way to much hype, wasnt the best love story, didnt feel any emotion for/from the characters, didnt feel they had good chemistry either. A "okay" watch if your bored and a channing fan and or a boring love story fan. is that a better review? lol
