Based on the DC/Vertigo comic book Hellblazer and written by Kevin Brodbin, Mark Bomback and Frank Capello, Constantine tells the story of irreverent supernatural detective John Constantine (Keanu Reeves), who has literally been to hell and back.
It took me a long time to get around to this because i really was bot expecting much from it. I was very much wrong tho it is one of the best movies of this type that I've seen in a long time.8.5/10

This is definitely one of the greatest& deepest movies i've seen so far.The story line is amazingly unique; with extremely hidden meanings & John Constantine is made to a perfect fit for Keanu Reeves. And it goes without saying that spiritual maturity is a major key in viewing this kind of movies since it is crucial to have a firm grasp on what we believe before we can hope to get anything but spiritual insecurity out of such movies, which blend different beliefs about afterlife with various religious worldviews. So, kids.. stay away from this movie!!
aaand one more thing... The film does a great job as an anti smoking compaign lol so, keep on trying guys ;)
Aside from Keanu Reeves being one of the worst actors of my time (though I am younger then him so I guess not of my time). This movie wasn't that bad, the plot was pleasing and Gabriel was well portrayed.
the movie was very well done. Mr. Reeves did an outstanding job of playing Jonh Constantine. He didn't show emotion and he was all about the business at hand. 5/5 i own this one, and i watch it often. what a treat!
This film was on tv late last night (UK) and I fell asleep but only because I was really tired. I watched the rest of it today and it was an absolutely amazing film. The special effects were out of this world and the casting was excellent, the only problem I had with the whole film was that the dialouge was somehow muffled and I found it hard to understand what was being said half of the time. 10/10 from me.
Yes, people who see spirits are not 'crazy'. Psychiatry calls it hallucinations but it is very real for those who see/hear them. This movie was interesting & derived of facts from real life.
Good fantasy. Gabriel was pathetic. lol. Keanu was excellent.
i had to watch this again 4 the 6th or 11th time after watching Legion Oh My Grapenuts I needed to watch a movie that had something going 4 itself from a religious point of view since I laughed 55 out of the 89 or so minutes Legion was on!! Love Djimon Houson
a bit too religious for my taste but..i still thought the plot/action and everything was totally epic about this movie..i give it a 5/5 and the CG was friggin amazing!!
the thing that bugged me the most is that Gabriel was a girl...deff weird
great movie it had all the stuff to make a great movie i hope they make a part too with the same people but with alot of films not as good as the first one soo mybe if they ever make a part too it will not be a issue 10/10 a must watch : )
man this is the movie that made me pickup Smoking and then Drop Smoking again. it is an awesome move. 1 bad thing thou the end kept me wanting more.. hope they make another part..10/10 for me.
