Yes, Yes, Yes I could watch it all over again right now. Remind me not to piss her off, the female Ong Bak can and will kick your ass. Great collection of characters.
Maximum respect for the main actress et al, you really see what they go through when making this movie post credits.
o.k if I had to find a negative i would be that it was a little slow in places and the script wasn't world class loosing something in translation, but then it doesn't need to be.
This movie is bad arse! The young girl in this movie is no joke. She's kickin arse and taking names baby. Phew! I feel bad for stunt men in Asian cinema. They get knocked around like crazy, but the end result is some harcore fight/action scenes. The movie as a whole was pretty good, but just on the fighting alone I would give this flick 5 out of 5 film cans. Loved it!
wow .. i love this movie . that little girl could kick ass and i couldnt stop laughing every time she said moms money lmaoo. this was definitely cool and sad in some parts . overall it was fantastic 5/5
Jeeja Yanyin ( the young girl ) was excellent. Her fight skills rate as good as Tony Jaa. Post movie credits shows that she and the rest of the cast takes alot of hard knocks as no stunt double were used in the making. Definitely a must watch. Am off to watch Raging Phoenix now.
Wow, these guys don't mess around. No stunt doubles, alot of ice packs.. and an original story. Well ok, this girl likes candy and her mom needs money to get better. Her mom is ok, I guess? I don't know if the fat kid is her brother or a childhood friend though?? But, he only beat up that one guy.. well not really the chick kicked the other dude in the face (needs ice pack). This movie did not have the traditional hollywood insurance required body double or background noise with pointless explosions. IF extended non stop fight scenes is your cup of tea and you speak the language of the movie - or not.. here's a kick to the face and a knee to the top of the head!! Enjoy..
number 1 is missing the first link, number 2 is shot on cam but with subtitles and number 3 is dvd quality but no subtitles .. hmm lol
..but i did watch the film and enjoyed it .. opted for number 3 .. about 6 lines in english the rest in japanese and another language.
Must admit i did like the whole film and the way she learnt was quite cool.
not watched to many martial arts films to be able to compare this to but as a stand alone against all other genres 5 maybe a 6 out of 10 but if your into all the matrial arts stuff definatly worth a watch and id happily watch another film with the lead girl in .. she can put foot to arse with style
5 Out Of 5!! Best Martial Arts Film Since Tony Ja's "The Protector"
While there are very subtle and minor flaws in this film (such as one guy who keeps getting up after she kicks his butt), the action and acting more than make up for those!
For all you action film buffs, you'll not find a much better one, than this. Reminiscent of Tony Ja's style, but this girl has many more amazing moves. Maybe that's cuz she's more flexible? I can only imagine a film with her and Tony fighting together, much like Jet Li and Jackie Chan.
Lastly, I want to discredit the member who said it went from Bruce Lee to Kill Bill,, you obviously haven't seen the other films from Prachya Pinkaew. They are basic stories with awesome fight sequences.
As for your perception of the ending, she wasn't walking crippled.. that was the walk of a little girl, or a grown woman, who has the mental maturity of a young girl.
went from a bruce lee film into a kill bill 1 movie at the end. was good but very stupid in places like at the end when the girl walks off with her father like a cripple but throughout the movie she walked normally. lol's..3.5/5
wow, martial artwork, how did I miss this one?nonreaders need not apply. You might not even be reading this. Some of the sweetest fight scenes I've seen since Jackie Chans best.If you are into his movies this is a must watch.watch through the credits for a while.see how real some of it was.5/5
The guy that made the story is a Genius! The plot of the story is all about the autistic girl and her MnM, which means Mum's Money.LOL..Great action movie by the Thais as usual..They use raw talent and that adds to the appeal of the movie.gave it 9.8/10..and thanks for STAGEVu for this good copy and decent buffering time..I really appreciate it.Thanks
Right then.. this film has got an abysmal story line which is held together by some incredibly poor acting (and thats putting it nicely). However it has some of the best choreography which i have ever seen which has produced some immense martial arts fight scenes. i'm serious, whoever it was who played the main character has got some mad skills or a bloody good stunt double. lol. although the story line is shoddy i have to say that this is a must see for all those who like their martial arts movies and it is only because i am hoping that by giving it a high rating that more will see the immense work which has gone into some of these fight scenes that i give it a 9/10.. if u dont appreciate this then u have no sense!"!!
This has to be the best martial arts movie I have ever seen. It even beats the KILL BILLS out. That is saying a lot. The little girl in the movie breaks this old mans heart. It is a great movie the whole family could watch. Smaller kids might not need to see the violent criminals though.I give it a big 5 on a 5 scale with 3 stars and the main cast can get a snort from my ancient SAKI bottle if they ever come this way.
