Didn't understand the language they were speaking in it but I watched the whole thing, alotta sex and vaginas and what not, and this guy in the movie is soo goofy, he does this gay little dance all the time, and looks like a total douche, I fast forwarded through the male homosexuality though, that was just sick as f u c k
Fascinating, is a class movie, the sets were awesome and the cinematography is out of this world. Have read about the movie, Tinto Brass is said to be one of the directors of the movie but he later disowned it, the reason is unknown. 5/5
interesting and yet disgusting.alot of film wasted on worthless and meaningless scenes.i thought i had seen the dirtiest porno ever as a kid but now that im somewhat movie educated i think that this movie shows that hollywood with good actors, can up the budget with penthouse paying the bill to show perversion and sickness on the screen.this movie is to watch nudity and will keep you waiting to see what kind of perversion am i now going to see.with what i said your probably curious as to what i mean,so you be the judge. i think its historical garbage with no reality.just another movie
This movie is a pornographic perversion of a historic period. It concentrates and relies so heavily on porn and perversion that it has little time to completely tell the story. Even though the period of Caligula's reign lasted a mere 4 yrs and the movie lasts 2.5 hrs.
What little is told does seem accurate. Of course most of the historic documentation about the period was destroyed during WWII, and the writers had to rely on second hand accounts of what was destroyed.

Wow. Bobby G. did this back in the day. Penthouse Films? Howd that work out for you? Off centered and very sexually graphic. not for kids. Still classic in its approach to "history".
Lots and lots of unnecessary nudity. the movie leaves no room for imagination - all is graphic..
It focused on nudity so much that there is no room for an actual historical drama..Nowhere close to "Lion in winter" of "Anne of Thousand days" not to mention "Ben Hur" or "Quo vadis"..
the movie was more like cheap porn with good actors..
i was just way to young to see this way back in the days, man it really was a disturbing movie, Malcolm McDowell is a fantastic actor in this, as he always is when he plays a weirdo psycho type, u gotta love him:)

I rember when this movie came out in theaters.there was a big stink about it in the papers because it was prety mutch a porn I think it was pent house that made the film.I love history and this film is so off base it is funny this has nothing to do with the reel Caligula so call it for what it is a cheep attempt at a main streem porno
..how one of the charactesr in BSG is called Gaius..who is a womanizer.. and this character's name is ALSO Gaius..hmm ..makes one think.. btw.. BSG stands for Battlestar Galactica. IF you haven't seen it..see it for FRAK sake!
this movie is rather a soft porn.Lot of needless nudity.I have read that there were immoral life style during Roman Empire but if it was like this they wouldn't find time to build their great empire.And definitly it is not for kids.
It totally boggles the mind to think how often,and to what degree a society will follow insanity! But it's a good movie, with great acting in the telling of this story of one freaky sick minded Caesar! A 4/5 stars IMO!
Talk about nudity and a little porn thrown in.
Caligula was cold hearted and screwed up.
The acting was great. Peter O'Toole has a great voice.

ok, i got version 1 to work, and the movie was fine, i saw this when it first came out and it's still a good one to watch but not for anyone under 18. need i say any more, i rate this 4/5.
lol, that was pretty screwed up, It was good though! a good watch, had me hooked, lol Malcolm Mcdowell is da main character XD i remember him from A Clockwork Orange and tank girl :P i gave it 4/5
