Bill and Kate are in an emotionless marriage with their only son away at college. They knew he didn't sound happy but then comes the news that he was the mass murderer at his school killing 17 professors, fellow students and himself. They try to move on with their lives but they are held back by their own grief and the fact that the media and everyone around them view them as monsters. The more they fight it, they realize they only have each other.
Very interesting storyline.
This actually did happen. But what I never understand is that people blame the parents. Ofcourse they raised him but when he is older, he'll move out and in that way you change the whole invironment. Friends, roommates, school, work.
Anyway, what I didnt understand in the beginning of the movie was him calling. He sounded really depressed and it was a weird conversation. I'm not a mother and I dont know if I even want children but if my son acted like that I atleast would have asked him if he was okay. And knowing that 90 procent of all depressed people will answer ''i'm fine'', there is a chance I would have come over to make sure. The fact that they didnt even ask that question while it was so obvious shocked me. Im not saying that would have been the reason, because a lot of people in that same situation wouldnt have shot 17 people.
What I missed was

getting a chance to watch the whole video where he kind of explained why he did it. The parents were driving themselves crazy because they didnt know but they didnt watched it the whole way trough.
The storyline was interesting but the movie itself could have been more interesting, less slow. 6/10
