To me this film started the whole begrudging hero trend, the guy who is caught up in an outrageous scenario but turns out to be the best man for the job. For it's time this move still holds it's own amongst modern contemporaries and in many ways surpasses them in originality, humor and scares. Classic movie well deserving of it's cult status.
THIS IS A MUST SEE FOR HORROR FANS..HAS COMEDY AS WELL. BRUCE CAMPBELL IS A FORCE ALL HIS OWN IN THIS CULT CLASSIC . 5/5 STARS..BE SURE TO SEE THE OTHER BRUCE MOVIES THAT CAME BEFORE THIS..THE EVIL DEAD MOVIES.
Bought this one on VHS, and have watched numerous times. Was surprised to run across it here, and watched. Never tire of this, you try, see if you like it.
when i first saw evil dead, it was so freaking scary! i was a little girl and i remember my cousin covering his eyes LOL. when i saw part 2, it was still scary but funny also, then when i saw this one, i laughed so freakin hard! now i can watch the other 2 and appreciate the funniness, even though they still scare me! i give it a 4/5
I been watching this awesome movie since i was only 6 years old when my mother took me to theaters to watch it. And even today after thousands of times watching i still love it.
This movie is freaking awesome i will continue to watch every week with my friends and family.
Did the Evil Dead movie really kill a person because of frightness?
well that was a rumour in my place when I was a kid. I dont know whether its true or false. But I know 1 thing, the 1st and 2nd Evil Dead Movies were scary as hellf88k!! It was really deadly frightening at that time..
But I dont know why all of a sudden they made the 3rd a funny one? That bothers me a lot! I mean when I saw this the movie for the 1st time, I thought it was a fake.. because I was expecting like the 1st or the 2nd. It just changed its genre completely! well nevermind its sstill great!
the cheesiest movie i have ever seen, but somehow the movie still enticed me.. weird. i think u have to watch this movie to find out for yourself if u like it or not.
This movie, like the first two installments in the Evil Dead series, is amazing. It's style is different, leading with comedy and holding a subtext of horror. Though this is a change in pace it is most definitely not a bad one. Where the horror has gone the humor fills it's place, making for a an excellent film. 5/5
I agree once again. This one is more comedy then horror but is still amazing.. I think this one really showcases Bruce Campbell's talent even though some moments are cheesy it's still great.. 5/5..
