Good story, however, I cannot understand why so many people, millions for that matter, were so inclined and motivated to save merely three people? I'm not saying leave them for dead and call it but it's simply something to think about in this ever growing world. Also, they commonly talked about Louis Armstrong and how he was alive during the film and he just walked on the moon. This was during the Cold War around the 1950s and then when I saw a black man in the Space area (where about 30 people were helping those three men back to Earth) it through me off about the setting and stuff. Racism was so prevalent then..how was a black man able to be in that area or even come close. I know history pretty well and that kind of ruined the setting for me.

This motion picture represents the human spirit at its best. As somebody said in the movie, "It was NASA's finest hour."
It was mesmerizing to see how humans and machines were stretched to its maximum. The soundtrack was fabulous flashing back music from the seventies which I enjoyed so much.
Without these pioneers of space we would not have a space station floating in space. We owe so much to these guys who volunteered their lives to fulfill the dream of reaching for the stars.
I loved every second of the movie. I saw it three times and probably will view again in the future.
