I think this might be a good movie to many people, black or white but black good guys vs white bad guys make it a little too cliché for me (just as white good guys vs black bad guys? - the real world is much more complex than those Holliwoodian versions of it). I can certainly imagine the motivation but it doesn't make it any more credible. Hence; an unentertaining film for me. This comment doesn't make it a bad film, it just isn't a film for me..
I won't rate it because it's just not my genre and I'm biased before the starring titles.

Ice cub and Mike epps make a good team. Eva Mendes is gorgeous as usual and the story is good too. not like friday at all other than ice cube and epps.
The plot (in a couple of places) needed a little more polishing or clarifying, and there could have been more humor for a film billed as a comedy. But as a whole it was good, and there was plenty of action, enough to carry the whole thing.

It's almost as if Ice Cube thinks that Mike Epps is the most funniest comedic actor of are time. With the "Friday" trilogy, this film and the upcoming movie "Janky Promoters" set to release sometimes in July of '09, it makes you wonder how many more movies will they be cast together before they start getting sick of each other.
i personally think that mike epps is a great comedian, especially in this movie..i think hes in ice cubes movies so much because they're good friends. look at adam sandler and alan covert
it's not that he thinks he is just funny.. but real. What you hear/see from Mike Epps is life. Not someone who jokes were written for him like some we know. There is a big difference in making money, and doing what comes natural. When doing something natural, the money will natural come. When you are doing something force well your money will be the same. And he see something in the brother that others might not see. Ever thought about that? Keep real positive people with real up and downs in your camp and you will never go wrong. It is just clear common sense to me.
Ice Cube and Mike Epps are a great tag team, love every movie they in together. This movie had its funny moments definetly a movie for a quiet Sunday 5/5
