Is registration on this site required?
You do not have to register to watch movies, but you do need to register to post movie comments, rate movies, create playlists, and participate in Forum discussions.

I registered in the past but cannot log in anymore!
The most likely reasons for this are: you entered an incorrect username or password. Try again.

How do I upload my avatar?
Click on your profile and look for Edit Profile / Upload Userpic. Click on the Browse button, select your userpic, and then click Upload.

Are there site guidelines?
Yes. The site guidelines can be accessed from any page. All members must read and abide by them.

What are the points for?
Points have no redeemable value. They are simply indicators of member post count and activity. Points are issued as follows: 3 points for forum and movie comments, 3 points for reporting broken links, and 1 point for rating a movie.

The movie doesn’t play continuously; it starts and stalls every few seconds.
It is possible you have slow internet connection or are watching a video at peak traffic time. Certain free hosts will restrict bandwidth at peak time in favour of those using their paid subscription accounts, or those users within their domestic markets IP range. Pause the video and allow it to buffer for a while before resuming. If the problem is severe, try again at a different time of day.

The movie I've clicked is only a 5 min length preview, but I want to watch full movie!

I have a link to a movie, how do I post it?
We are slightly different to most video link sites in that we do the work for you and provide. If you insist on sharing links, please do so in the appropriate section of the Forum and NOT on any of the movie comments pages. Only links to host sites are acceptable; links to embeds on blogs, etc., or to other sites are not permitted.

How do I report a broken link or if a link goes to a movie other than the one listed?
Click on the Report button under the appropriate version to issue your report. The Report button is to be used for reporting broken links or links to the wrong movies only and no other technical issue.

How do I rate the quality of the movie links versions?
Click on the thumbs up / thumbs down icons (available under each movie version) to indicate your satisfaction or otherwise with a particular movie. Do not post any issues in the movies comment section as that section is for opinions on the movies only.

What is the movies comment section for?
The movie comments section is for brief observations and opinions of the movie only. Use the Review tab to provide a more detailed movie review and the Discussion tab to discuss the movie in more detail with other members. Use the Forum for all other discussions.

How do I post my comment on a movie?
Go to the movie you want to post a comment/opinion on and scroll to the bottom of the page. Enter a title in the title box and your comment in the comment text section, and then click on the post comment button.

How do I reply to another member’s comment?
Click the quick reply link positioned at the bottom of the left hand corner in the comment box of that member’s post. A comment box with the heading enter reply text here will open. Write your reply and click the reply button when you are done. Please note that if the original post is deleted, all replies to it are automatically deleted as well.

How do I edit or delete a comment in the movie comments section?
You can edit your posts at any time by clicking the edit button for the relevant post. To delete a post, simply click on the delete button.

How do I rate a movie?
Each movie page contains a movie tab with information about the movie. Directly above the movie description you will notice five stars. Click on one of the five stars to rate a movie (one is the lowest score, five is the highest).

How do I apply a spoiler to my movie comment?
Type in your comment, highlight the spoiler portion of your text, and then click the Spoiler button located at the bottom right side of the comment box.

There’s no spoiler hotkey in the reply section of the movie comments pages and the forum.
If you want to post in the forum or reply to a movie comment but are worried about posting spoilers, you need to use simple BB Code tags as follows: [spoiler] the bad guy dies in the end [/spoiler].

I have noticed a comment posted by another member that violates the guidelines. What do I do?
Contact one of the Moderators immediately. Do not attempt to moderate the post yourself by posting a comment correcting the user(s). Alternatively you can click on the orange Bad button, although contacting a Moderator directly would be more expedient.

How do I post a comment in a Forum discussion thread?
To add a comment to a forum discussion, go to the specific topic, scroll to the bottom of the page and enter your comment/reply in the text box then click the reply button.

How do I edit or delete a thread or post?
You can edit your posts by clicking the edit button. To delete a post, simply click on the delete button. To delete one of your discussion threads, click the delete button in the summary text box.

Can I delete or edit my playlists?
Movies can be added to, or deleted from, playlists at any time. Members can also delete an entire playlist. Playlist titles and descriptions can also be edited.

How can I view another member’s playlist?
Click on that member’s username and you can view their playlists on their profile

How do I vote for another member’s playlist?
Click on the playlist you want to vote for. Select and click on one of the five yellow stars (one is the lowest score, five is the highest).

How do I view the top-rated playlists?
Click on the Playlists tab at the top of the page to view the thirty top-rated playlists as well as the thirty most recently added.

I keep getting unwanted or abusive private messages!
If you keep receiving abusive private messages from someone, inform one of the Moderators as they have the ability to disable private messaging privileges. You should private message the Moderator with a full copy of the message you received. It is very important that you include the headers (these list details of the user that sent the message) so that the Moderator can take appropriate action.

The new message indicator light is flashing, but I do not see new messages in my inbox.
Usually this occurs when a sent message has been blocked because the member sending the message has been banned and/or has had their messaging privileges terminated.

How do I find a member who is not listed in the top 50?
If you are searching for a specific member not listed there, but know their username, type the following information in your address bar: http://www.watch-movies-tv.info/users/USERNAME.
